Biographical history
Samson United Church in Hobbema, Alberta grew out of Methodist (later United Church) missions, begun about 1881, for the Crees of the Samson reserve. Among the clergy who served there were Erven B. Glass, Orrin German, Egerton Steinhauer, Robert Bird Steinhauer, Roy C. Taylor, W.R. Cantelon, A.J. Law, H.G. de Leeuw, J.C. Kay, N.R. Jackson, E.J. Scarlett and Ethel Mellafont. In later years the church was served from Ponoka.
