- Correspondence (n.d., 1966 October 4 - 1983 June 1), between S. Pride and Alden Nowlan.
- Correspondence relating personal news; discussing current literary projects and careers, politics, religion, spiritualism and many other topics; and recalling childhood memories of rural Nova Scotia. Letter dated November 29, 1974, describes an event from A. Nowlan's childhood which was used as the basis for a chapter in The wanton troopers. Includes an issue of Supportive Lifestyles, v. 7, no. 5, November 1981, containing a feature article on S. Pride (Rachel Paulson Pride). (Archival note: MsC 61, described in Appendix B, consists of material relating to A. Nowlan collected by R. P. Pride. S. Pride, née Reese, changed her name to Rachel Paulson Pride in the early 1980s. R. P. Pride, A. Nowlan's cousin, is the daughter of Sylvester Reese, a brother of the author's mother, Grace Reese Nowlan.)
