Biographical history

Percival Steven Barton, 1916-1975, was born in Hurstville, Sydney, Australia. In 1937 he married Daisy Margaret Parkinson, 1920-1955, and they had four children, Coral Margaret, 1938- , Jacqueline (Griffis), 1939- , Lanham Steven, 1942- , and William John, 1948- . During the Second World War he enlisted with the Royal Australian Air Force, and from August 14, 1942 until May 29, 1943 he trained at the #2 Wireless School in Calgary, Alberta. During this time he and other Australians were frequent guests at W.J. Oliver's Diamond L Ranch near Millarville, Alberta.
