Archival history
Items were found by donor in the 1980's in housing slated for demolition in Benton, Alberta. He collected them for the stamps: "When the farmers that owned all the land in Benton (the town no longer exists) were bulldozing the old houses and barns they said we could dig through the old buildings. My brother and I dug around for stamps. We found a pile of letters over 2’ high on an old bed cover with pigeon @@@@. We grabbed letters and envelopes that had stamps on them. These came from that pile."
