History
Eileen Nagel, 1941- , of Woking, Alberta was an active member of the Farm Women's Union of Alberta and its successor, Women of Unifarm, from 1961 to 1991. Her husband, Hartmann Nagel, was the president of Unfarm from 1991 to 1993. Eileen believed that the activities of farm organziations in Alberta were an important aspect of the province's history which deserved to be preserved. She therefore spent ten years gathering relevant documents, photographs and artifacts from a wide variety of individuals, local branches of farm groups, and other sources. She called her collection "One Hundred Years of General Farm Organizations in Alberta, 1905-2005".
