Biographical history
Mrs. V.G. Livermore, 1897-[after 1969], was born in Iowa, USA. She moved to Saskatchewan with her family in 1906. In late 1913 she married Z.D. "Pat" Livermore, who was also born in Iowa. They homesteaded four miles north of Empress, Alberta. They had eight children, Wilda (Paul), Ralph, Franklin, Norma (Fields), Irene (McKenzie), Shirley, Maureen (Furge) and Ronald. In 1928 they moved to the Social Plains district south of Bindloss.

Scope and content
The fonds consists of a transcript of a 1969 interview, conducted by Ron Livermore, in which she discusses her homesteading experiences, Empress, native peoples, gypsies, the Canadian Pacific Railway (CPR) and rural education. Also consists of 1913-1915 photographs of Empress (United church, CPR bridge, parade, etc.) and a view of the Elk Livery in Calgary (1910).
