Allan W. Mogridge was born in Calgary, Alberta. After serving the in Air Force in WWII, he articled with E.T. Brown (1876-1950). When Mr. Brown died, Allan Mogridge and Alfred Hodges bought the practice. Later, Maxwell Bates joined the firm which then became know as Hodges & Bates. Allan Mogridge later left to work for the firm of John C. Clayton, Architect.
