History

James Richard McNamara was born January 22nd 1912 in Regina Saskatchewan. He moved to Alberta and lived in Calgary where he worked as an office manager and was active with the Stampeder’s Hockey Club. During WWII he enlisted and served with the Seaforth Highlanders of Canada. He was killed in action in Italy during the attempt to take Coriano Ridge on September 9th, 1944.
