Educator, librarian and author Kathleen M. Snow, née Allen, was born in Calgary, Alberta, on January 27, 1918. Obtained a B.A. from the University of Alberta, a B.L.S. from the University of Washington, and a B.Ed. and M.A. from the University of Calgary. Taught in the Faculty of Education, Department of Curriculum and Instruction at the University of Calgary from 1964 to 1980. Married artist John Snow in 1963. Died in Calgary, Alberta, on February 5, 1995.
