Historia biográfica
John McFerran was born on April 20, 1918 in Winnipeg. During WWII he served aboard HMCS Swansea during WWII as Leading Telegrapher and ship's photographer. Following the war he worked as a development manger in Winnipeg and owned several related businesses. McFerran had six children with his wife, Doreen. He died October 24, 1992.

Photographs were created and arranged by John McFerran. Transferred to daughter at the time of his death. Digital files were transferred to TMMLA shortly after the album was donated.

Consists of one album of black and white photographs attesting to the Naval career of Leading Telegrapher John McFerran aboard HMCS Swansea during WWII. Also includes a digital version of McFerran's journal from 1944. Information includes details of U-Boat engagement and German prisoner's captured and details related to activities prior and during to D Day.
