The William Ziegler Fonds consists predominantly of material gathered and used by Ziegler during his time as an officer in the Canadian Military during WWII. This includes detailed official battle histories written immediately post conflict by the commanding officer for operational purposes, a draft of Ziegler's unpublished autobiography, and notes taken by Ziegler in his capacity as Deputy Commander of the Hannover Region in Germany following WWII. The fonds is divided into 4 series:

Fonds consists of material pertaining to W.H. Carson's time of military service during WWI. Includes a photocopy of Carson's journal that records events in his life following his enlistment up until his taking on the role of Registrar for the 4th Canadian General Hospital. Photographs, including unit photos, are normally well captioned on verso.

Consists of materials related to the RCNVR career of William Chalk during WWII. Fonds is divided into two series:

1. Diaries and training notes.
2. Photographs.

Consists of a variety of material related to the service of Walter H. Gibson during WWII. Of particular note is a photograph album, largely containing images of domestic service.

Consists of records gathered and created during service in WWI and WWII as well as later items attesting to Spear's actions and honours received as one of the last surviving veterans of WWI.

Consists predominantly of photographs documenting the 2nd Quebec Conference, the Potsdam Conference, and the Yalta Conference. Also includes photography relating the British Home Guard During WWII as well as the Lausanne conference of 1932.

Fonds consists predominantly of correspondence between members of the Smythe family during the period of WWII when Lorne W. Smythe and his son were active overseas. The fact of Lorne N. Smythe's death while serving is reflected in many of the documents. Fonds is divided into

The fonds consists of annals of activities in western Canada (1883-1946 [photocopied]); newsclippings (1924-1975); various histories of the order; photographs of Sacred Heart Convent, St. Mary's school and pupils (1913-1950s); and miscellaneous programs, communion cards, pamphlets, calendars and greeting cards. Includes a publication, "Catholic Centennial Souvenir, 1812-1912" (on microfilm); Sister L.A. Hochstein's MEd thesis, "Roman Catholic Separate and Public Schools in Alberta" (1954); and a recorded interview with teacher, Ethel MacDonald (1978).

Fonds consist predominantly of aerial photos depicting, primarily, northeastern France. Also includes photographs of family and friends of Corporal S.G. Pallesen, and a photocopied journal from 1943 and 1946. Fonds are divided into two series, one photographic and one textual.

Consists predominantly of records pertaining to the military career of Ronald Reed Lilley. There is also scant records pertaining to Lilley's father, Charles W. Lilley, and his brother, C. J. Lilley. Both brother and father were also involved with the Canadian military.
