Fonds consists of published material - reports etc, and some unpublished items such as a scrap book and unpublished papers.

Fonds consists of correspondence; manuscripts of novels, short stories, articles, essays, lectures, papers, reviews, speeches, screenplay and thesis; material relating to A. van Herk's editing, teaching, membership in various organizations including the Writers Guild of Alberta and the Alberta Foundation for the Literary Arts, and on various committees; photographs; sound recordings; research material; published work; and works on A. van Herk. Also includes MsC 56, a small appendix consisting of material from the Canadian Book Information Centre described in entry for Canadian Book Information Centre; and MsC 330, an audio cassette recording of A. van Herk reading her short story, Mining darkness, on CBC Radio's Aircraft, March 1989. Accession 857/09.1 consists of 1.32 m of textual records donated by Aritha van Herk and Rudy Wiebe which is restricted during their lifetimes.

The Arthur Fox Fonds consists of documents received by Elizabeth M. Porter, Fox's possible spouse, following Fox’s death in action.

Fonds consists predominantly of letters written by brothers Jack and Arthur McAllister to their family while serving overseas in WWI.

Fonds consists of one photo album and associated loose photos. The photographs predominantly relate to Cochran's military career with the RCAF during the year of WWII. Some photographs are captioned, presumably in Cochran's hand.

Collection consists of material collected by A. Ravel in researching and writing her doctoral dissertation, The dramatic world of Patricia Joudry (McGill University, 1984). Includes correspondence with P. Joudry and others; newsclippings about P. Joudry and reviews of her works; manuscripts of stage and television plays, novels and prose by P. Joudry; sound recordings of several of P. Joudry's radio plays and sound therapy tapes; and A. Ravel's research material, notes and preliminary work for her dissertation.

Fonds consists of two photo albums related to the naval career and naval interests of Barrie Allan Reeder. Volume 1: related to McBride B.C.; training time at HMCS Cornwallis: patrolling the Inside Passage on HMCS Margaree and trips stateside. Volume 2: HMCS Margaree, Spring Cruise ’62, weapons exercises ’62 and going home.
Photographs are all black and white and presumed to be predominantly originals.

Fonds consists of material gathered or created by Beatrice Ross. All records pertain to Ross's experience as a soldier in the Canadian Women's Army Corps during WWII.
