Metcalf suggests the meeting may have been that held at Neill-Wycik College, Toronto, Ont., some time in 1973 before the inaugural meeting in Ottawa, Ont., November 3, 1973. Includes photographs of Margaret Atwood, James Bacque, Earle Birney, Matt Cohen, Kildare Dobbs, Marian Engel, Charlotte Fielden, Timothy Findley, Sylvia Fraser, Larry Garber, Graeme Gibson, Jack Ludwig, W.O.
