The series consists of records documenting Lampard’s research into the naming of Mount Davidson, and his work to have the mountain formally recognized. The mountain is in the Canadian Rockies, fifteen kilometres north of Lake Minnewanka outside the town of Banff. The series also consists of records documenting the 2003 official “first ascent” of the mountain by Lampard and members of Rotary International to honour Davidson. The records include: correspondence, articles by Lampard related to the climb, research and background materials related to the naming of Mount Davidson, records on the organization of the climb, and ephemera related to the climb (medals, cap).
