Collection consists of reproductions of paintings, drawings, etchings and photographs of celebrated 14th to 20th century European and North American authors. Items mounted on mattes and identified with authors' names. Pictures occasionally contain information about the original work of art from which the reproduction was made. Includes several pictures of some authors and holograph notes by unidentified author, commenting on the pictures.

Laing by Dr. Marion McKenna, November 1, 1978, April 8, 1997 and April 23, 1997; transcript of April 8, 1997 interview; photocopy of a photograph of G. File consists of manuscripts of two works tracing the history of Mennonites in Russia and their emigration to North America; and two booklets about Mennonites. Item 1 titled Vor 40 Jahren in Ruszland (136 p.). Item 2, untitled, explores the history of Russian Mennonites, ca. 1870-1950; item includes table of contents and twenty chapters (ca. 1080 p.); first chapter titled Aus der Volkischen Vorgeschichte der ruszlandischen Mennoniten. Items 3 and 4 titled respectively Eichenfeld-Dubowka by Heinrich Toews and Aus Schwerer Zeit by Jakob F. Isaak; both booklets undated.

Collection consists of typescript and holograph manuscripts of mathematical calculations, proofs, notes, diagrams and diary entries; and coloured slides of tiling diagrams of geometric shapes in various combinations and sequences. Mathematical subjects include hexagonal tiling and prime numbers. Titles on binders containing manuscripts include Tile, Twinlock, N-rep presentations, Hex, Penrose pair, N roots, Re-ordering of O-branch sets and Pythagorean (Hex) numbers play.

Collection consists of British manuscript documents collected by E. Osborne relating to a variety of topics. Includes ballads, letters, play, parliamentary documents, speeches, petitions and applications for letters patent. Also includes 6 items (200?-2005) relating to MsC 132.27, unpublished play, variantly titled Marriage upon marriage, or As I told you before and The Humorous Magistrate. Also included are 10 copies of microfilm reels and transcriptions of images of an earlier version of The Humorous Magistrate and Osborne's annotations which are held at Arbury Hall in Warwickshire, UK. These micro films reels were acquired and transcribed as part of a SSHRC funded research project in 2008, led by Dr. Mary Polito, English Department University of Calgary. They were formally added to this collection in 2020.

Collection consists of photographs of geologic formations and topographic features; native peoples; northern communities; logging, mining, fishing and whaling activities; survey field parties; and miscellaneous subjects including some of U.S. Geologic Survey offices and staff. Most photographs were taken in Alaska, but also represented are the Yukon, Virginia, Maryland and Texas. Texas photographs are of oil fields and refineries, ca. 1917. Most photographs are dated and include descriptive captions. Photographs received in albums but removed for conservation purposes.

A later accession, MsC 312, consists of a letter (May 20, 1986) from Michael Cook to Malcolm Page.

Nowlan and acquired from other sources. MsC 59 consists of a sound cassette Remembering Alden Nowlan, taped at a Theatre New Brunswick event paying tribute to A. Nowlan. MsC 106 is a draft of A gift to last, revised by co-author Walter J. Learning in 1989. MsC 119 consists of promotional material for a production of Frankenstein : the man who became god. For description of MsC 61 see entry under Rachel Paulson Pride. Accession 523/92.21 consists of poetry manuscripts; notebooks; reviews and other material relating to publication or productions of A. Nowlan's work after his death in 1983; and twenty-four sound recordings of interviews, radio broadcasts of A. Nowlan's works, tributes paid to the author and other miscellaneous events. Accession 569/95.5 consists of material relating to A. Nowlan including v. 2, no. 4, Summer 1963 issue of Amethyst devoted to him.
