Fonds includes material relating to the life and works of W. O. Mitchell as a writer, teacher, playwright and performer. Included are personal, general and business related correspondence; manuscripts of novels, short stories, stage plays, radio plays, television plays and film scripts; copies and drafts of articles in newspapers and magazines; audio-visual recordings of interviews with Mitchell and dramatizations of Mitchell’s works; promotional material such as posters; teaching records relating to his positions as writer-in-residence and lectures and presentations delivered to academic and primary schools; awards such as honorary degrees; personal records including scrapbooks; financial files including writing contracts and business records; photographs; and an electric typewriter used by Mitchell at his cabin on Mabel Lake, B.C.

Series consists of typescript drafts, research materials, interviews, correspondence, publisher's gallies, promotional materials, and copies of articles by Brennan used for his non-fictional books and biographies.

Subseries consists of manuscripts, drafts, correspondence, articles, research and other materials related to Kroetsch's non-fiction works.

Consists of Hamilton's records of his writing activities related to the first 13 of his Ava Lee novels and two Uncle Chow Tung novels, published between 2010 and 2019. The materials include one or two typescripts drafts for each book, line edits in hand (except for Couturier of Milan and Dragon Head King of Hong Kong), editors comments (except for Couturier of Milan and Dragon Head King of Hong Kong), page proofs as well as one research notebook, published reviews and interviews and some original book cover designs for Ava Lee novels. Series consists of manuscript drafts and fragments from Dr. Mayr's novels: Moon Honey (1995 NeWest Press), The Widows (1998 NeWest Press), Venous Hum (2004 Arsenal Pulp Press) and Monoceros (2011 Coach House Books). Series includes handwritten, typescript and digital drafts with edits comments, feedback and correspondence with editors including Nicole Markotic, Rosemary Nixon, Nancy Jo Cullen and Aritha van Herk. Contents include assorted research materials and correspondence with the presses that published her works.

Collection consists of material relating to At the moment: alternative poetries and communities in English Canada since 1960 including audio cassettes containing interviews with Canadian poets, transcriptions of seven of the interviews and complete manuscript of the interview volume of the book. File also includes conference pack and photographs relating to "Les Femmes et Les Textes / Women and Texts", an international conference co-organized by Susan Rudy at The University of Leeds, Leeds, England, July 2-5, 1997.
