The fonds consists of two suites of short musical compositions intended to accompany travelling exhibitions of the composer's paintings. The suites were inspired by the composer's travels and were entitled "Reise nach Amerika" and "Reise in Amerika und England". The material is accompanied by programs for the shows, and extracts of journalistic reviews. Also includes commentaries of art dealers.

Structures depicted include the George Lane residence, the William V. Wing residence, the I.K. Kerr residence, Terrill's Greenhouses in Calgary and Lethbridge, the Rosery Flower Co. in Medicine Hat, the Al Azhar Temple, the J. Findlay apartment block, Knox Church, and the J.A. Langlands residence.

The fonds consists of a souvenir photograph album of the trip, possibly kept by G. Mayor-Cooke, the General Manager of Lang's company. Includes 31 snapshots of Lang, Mayor-Cooke and the rest of the company on board ship, and in locations enroute including Whitefisth Lake (Ontario), Winnipeg, Regina, and Edmonton; and 25 scenes along the route of the Canadian Pacific Railway (CPR) across the country from Quebec City to the West Coast. Most of the latter are commercial prints taken by Brigden Photos.
