Fonds consists of scholarly research, lecture notes, presentations, essays, book reviews, scholarly and personal correspondence with noted historians and politicians from the early 20th Century to the post WWII years from Great Britain and Germany, some personal correspondence with his parents during his time as a schoolboy, notebooks from his internment and military training, manuscripts of his scholarly publications, photographs and audio recordings of interviews of himself and his wife about their experiences living in Nazi Germany as well as broadcast recordings of interviews of Dr. Eyck’s research subjects. There is extensive original, transcribed
and photocopied correspondence and other materials Eyck compiled on his research subjects for his book on Prince Albert, the Queen Victoria’s consort, and his biography on George Peabody Gooch.

Collection consists of research material relating to K.M. Snow's Maxwell Bates : biography of an artist (Calgary : University of Calgary Press, 1993) including correspondence, interviews, photographs, sound recordings, works by and relating to Maxwell Bates as well as drafts (2) and galley proofs of biography.

Collection primarily consists of research material relating to C.W. Fullerton's 1985 University of Calgary doctoral dissertation George Stewart, Jr.: nineteenth century man of letters including correspondence, works by and about George Stewart, Jr., photographs, and notes. Also includes research materials for papers on Matthew Arnold and other miscellaneous items of academic interest.

Collection consists of material collected by A. Ravel in researching and writing her doctoral dissertation, The dramatic world of Patricia Joudry (McGill University, 1984). Includes correspondence with P. Joudry and others; newsclippings about P. Joudry and reviews of her works; manuscripts of stage and television plays, novels and prose by P. Joudry; sound recordings of several of P. Joudry's radio plays and sound therapy tapes; and A. Ravel's research material, notes and preliminary work for her dissertation.

Collection consists of material relating to W.O. Mitchell's term as writer-in-residence for Winnipeg School Division No. 1, September 15, 1974 - November 30, 1974. Includes samples of student papers using "Mitchell's messy method of creative writing"; professional materials consisting of videotapes of seminars on creative writing for teachers; presentations for elementary, junior high and senior high students consisting of videotapes of the presentations and questions from the students; audio and video recordings of readings by W.O. Mitchell from his own work; and audio and video recordings of W.O. Mitchell discussing theme and character in several of his own works. Textual records consist of samples of student papers, listing of the audio and video recordings and bibliography of related materials collected in a kit for use by schools in Winnipeg School Division No. 1 as well as two scrapbooks containing articles and photographs documenting W.O. Mitchell's work for the shool division. Also includes material relating to the seventy-fifth convocation of Brandon University, Brandon, Manitoba, held November 9, 1974, at which Paul Hiebert, James Gray and W.O. Mitchell received honorary doctorates, particularly an audio tape of a symposium on creative writing by the three writers moderated by Brandon University chancellor Stanley Knowles, as well as photographs and newsclippings.

MsC 106 is a draft of A gift to last, revised by co-author Walter J. Learning in 1989. MsC 119 consists of promotional material for a production of Frankenstein : the man who became god.
