Fonds consists predominantly of letters and photographs sent home by the Williams brothers during the Boer War. Photos taken by Lloyd Williams while a prisoner of war in Ceylon are of particular interest.

Fonds are divided into three series:

1. Correspondence
2. Photographs
3. Miscellaneous textual material

Consists of material related to Colonel Bagley's involvement with the Canadian Over-Seas Expeditionary Force as a member of the 5th Battalion of the Canadian Mounted Rifles during the Boer War.

Consists of material created and accumulated by Walter Rippin during his service in the Boer War and WWI. Includes original photography, glass plate negatives, maps, serials, ephemera, and some small amount of correspondence.
