Also includes photographs of the October, 1991 Open House and photograph contact sheets of displays from the Archives and Special Collections.

Sem títuloTwo maquettes of gargoyles carved as models for the grotesques that would subsequently be carved in the upper corners of the entrance to the Senate Chamber of Canadian Parliament. The maquettes were donated by the family of Thomas Dunlop Rankin (1886-1965) who supervised the reconstruction of Parliament Centre Block (1916-1927). Initials carved into the grotesques "W.J.A." are those of Walter Joseph Allen who was an English sculptor employed on the construction of the Centre Block. Allen worked as the superintendent of the modeling and carving shop and was responsible for the team of carvers from April 1917 to June 1924.

Design media include watercolour, gouache, pencil, charcoal and tempera. Designers represented include Percy Anderson (1851-1928), Georges Barbier (1882-1932), Alexandre Benois (1870-1960), Charles Betout (active ca. 1900-1939), Umberto Brunelleschi (1879-1949), Boris Bilinsky (1900-1948), Serge Soudeikine (1882-1946) and C. Wilhelm (1856-1925). Collection also includes Vanity Fair lithographs of actors and managers (ca. 1874-1912) and a series of engraved dramatic portraits.
The collection consists of manuscripts, books, sound recordings and videotapes by the distinguished writers resident at The University of Calgary.

Also included are 10 copies of microfilm reels and transcriptions of images of an earlier version of The Humorous Magistrate and Osborne's annotations which are held at Arbury Hall in Warwickshire, UK. These micro films reels were acquired and transcribed as part of a SSHRC funded research project in 2008, led by Dr. Mary Polito, English Department University of Calgary. They were formally added to this collection in 2020.
