The Robert Stedman fonds consists of a photo album, predominately with black and white photographs from Stedman's military service in North Africa. There are also two personal journals covering his time in North Africa and Italy during the war. 2 scrapbooks with material collected both during and after the war, mostly newspaper clippings. This includes detailed official battle histories written immediately post conflict by the commanding officer for operational purposes, a draft of Ziegler's unpublished autobiography, and notes taken by Ziegler in his capacity as Deputy Commander of the Hannover Region in Germany following WWII. This fonds is notable for its large, well captioned set of aerial photography taken by Lott's crews during the final years of the war.
