Johnston; material relating to R. Johnston's research and collection of folklore and folk songs, including reports of his folk song collection in Saskatchewan and Mennonite Ontario, transcripts of oral history tapes and sound cassettes describing the folklore collection; biographical and other information on various musicians; photographs; and material relating to musical organizations, such as the Alberta Composers' Association and the International Society for Music Education, with which R. Johnston was affiliated. Accession 881/11.3 consists of material relating to the publications of R. Johnston's book Folk songs North America sings: a source book for all teachers (Toronto: E.C. Kerby, 1984).

The accession also consists of personal and business correspondence and manuscript materials for the young adult novel, "Waterlight." A new series is included in this accession on Editing and includes records related to Landale's role as compiler and editor of the anthology "Slice Me Some Truth" (2008-2009).
