The fonds consists of records produced and collected by David Kilgour, MP for Edmonton Strathcona. Includes personal papers as well as records relating to his parliamentary responsibilities, records pertaining to Kilgour's activities vis a vis External Affairs (re US, Ukraine, Uganda, Turkey, Tibet, Sudan, Vietnam and USSR), Soviet Jewry, human Rights, Trips to Berne and the USSR); and personal records relating to the Liberal Party of Canada, fundraising, official opposition, and the national and northern/western caucus, daily journals which provide details of his daily activity, his reflections on events, and clippings related to his interests and current events, as well as a file on Col. John McCrae who wrote the poem In Flanders Fields, and who was a great uncle of Kilgour's.

Surdin, including many used to accompany theatrical productions and as incidental music for various Canadian Broadcasting Corporation dramatic series; lyrics and scripts of radio, television and stage plays by numerous Canadian playwrights, such as W. O. Mitchell, Max Braithwaite and Len Peterson, for which M. Surdin composed the accompanying music; sound recordings of radio drama, motion picture themes, symphonic and other music composed by M. Surdin; correspondence; and other miscellaneous material.
Surdin, MorrisCollection consists of reproductions of paintings, drawings, etchings and photographs of celebrated 14th to 20th century European and North American authors. Items mounted on mattes and identified with authors' names. Pictures occasionally contain information about the original work of art from which the reproduction was made. Includes several pictures of some authors and holograph notes by unidentified author, commenting on the pictures.
