Includes a photocopy of Carson's journal that records events in his life following his enlistment up until his taking on the role of Registrar for the 4th Canadian General Hospital. Photographs, including unit photos, are normally well captioned on verso.
Carson, William HarryFonds consist predominantly of aerial photos depicting, primarily, northeastern France. Also includes photographs of family and friends of Corporal S.G. Pallesen, and a photocopied journal from 1943 and 1946. Fonds are divided into two series, one photographic and one textual.
Pallesen, S.G.Fonds consists of one photo album and associated loose photos. The photographs predominantly relate to Cochran's military career with the RCAF during the year of WWII. Some photographs are captioned, presumably in Cochran's hand.
Cochrane, AudreyThe William Ziegler Fonds consists predominantly of material gathered and used by Ziegler during his time as an officer in the Canadian Military during WWII. This includes detailed official battle histories written immediately post conflict by the commanding officer for operational purposes, a draft of Ziegler's unpublished autobiography, and notes taken by Ziegler in his capacity as Deputy Commander of the Hannover Region in Germany following WWII. Smith, Malcolm SandersThe collection consists of one three ring binder with 19 double-sided pages in plastic sleeves and 13 single-sided pages taken from a photo album and placed in the three ring binder. At the end of the binder there is a single plastic sleeve with 2 inserts relating to an Belgian individual who died in Buchenwald. The collection also contains a certificate from the offices of Adolf Hitler, received by Gertrud Lessman and accompanied by a large photo.
Lessmann, GertrudConsists of one photo album pertaining, predominantly, to Carlsen's career as a member of the Canadian Women's Army Corps (CWAC) during WWII.
Carlsen, Camilla MatildaConsists of 11 Canadian posters produced by the offices of the Judge Advocate General related to tenets of armed conflict law. Presumably created for soldiers active in combat during WWII.
