Collection consists of one album containing 529 autographs from leading 19th century figures, chiefly British, roughly separated into the sections of political figures, musicians, literary figures, visual artists, religious figures, performing artists, legal professionals, medical professionals, scientists, and philanthropists. Design media include watercolour, gouache, pencil, charcoal and tempera. Designers represented include Percy Anderson (1851-1928), Georges Barbier (1882-1932), Alexandre Benois (1870-1960), Charles Betout (active ca. 1900-1939), Umberto Brunelleschi (1879-1949), Boris Bilinsky (1900-1948), Serge Soudeikine (1882-1946) and C. Wilhelm (1856-1925). Collection also includes Vanity Fair lithographs of actors and managers (ca. 1874-1912) and a series of engraved dramatic portraits.
