National Marketing

Series contains materials related to EMI Music Canada’s National Marketing department and its equivalent predecessors. Activities of the department include developing marketing plans for artists, publicity campaigns, promotional materials, and tracking the impact of the department’s endeavors. Publicity materials such as photographs, press kits and electronic press kits (EPKs) are developed and retained by the department. Finally, print, audio and video records are retained relating to advertisements, publicity events, television appearances and interviews for artists represented by the label.

Consists of correspondence of W.J. Christie, Chief Factor at Edmonton House (and immediate predecessor of Richard Hardisty), related to operations at the HBC posts of Carlton House, Fort Chipewyan, Cumberland House, Edmonton House, Fort Garry, Isle a la Crosse, Norway House, and York Factory. Also includes some correspondence with the Canadian Government, and about creating a Board of Health, the Canadian Pacific Railway, and Hugh Inkster.

Teaching

Series consists of records related to courses taught in the Faculty of Social Work, and early courses from the University of Ottawa and Memorial University.
