Fonds consists of correspondence and photographs related to the naval service of William Hinman Duce during WWI. The subject of most of the correspondence is Duce's application, and appeal for entitlement to benefits under the War Veteran's Allowance Act.

Handwritten and typed letters pertaining to a request by Mr. Duce for a veteran's allowance which was denied and appealed. Later his widow applied for a pension and was denied.
Handwritten letter from donor. Tall Ships program and two newspaper articles about the Tall Ships event. The letter provides details of Mr. Duce's naval service. The Tall Ships items are included because Mr. Duce's grandson composed the Overture for the event.
