Includes an 1883 letter from Lord Castletown, describing a trip by CPR from Winnipeg to Calgary. The fonds also consists of photographs of sketches done during the 1881 trip, along with original 1870s sketches of European castles and scenes (possibly done by Princess Louise), which had been glued to the back of these photos. Includes a scrapbook of newspaper clippings written by Reverend James MacGregor who accompanied Lorne.
