Box predominately contains photocopies of military documents, memos, and reports pertaining to the 1st Canadian Parachute Battalion's deployments in Holland and Germany, 1945. This includes reports, operations, war diaries, etc., as well as a significant amount of documents tied to the 1st Canadian Parachute Battalion’s contributions and role in Operation Varsity (also known as Operation Plunder).

Collection consists of original (25%) and copied (75%) research material related to the history of the Canadian Airborne Regiment. It includes correspondence, taped interviews and transcripts, and photocopies of related material held at various American, Canadian and British archives and museums.
The collection comprises Michel Wyczynski and Bernd Horn's research material over the course of six co-authored books, chapters in military anthologies, and dozens of articles published in Canada, the United States, and Britain.

Fonds consists of trench maps of various scales that were used in the operations of the 19th Battalion during their time at the front. Also includes a set of field message books with carbons intact that record Gidley's wartime communications with other officers. Materials were originally created and gathered by Gidley in his capacity as commanding officer of the 19th Battalion, B Company. Fonds has been divided into three series: Maps, Field Notebooks, and Miscellaneous.

Fonds consists of material related to the experience of James Reid (and to a lesser extent his brother John) while in Canada leading up to WWI, throughout Reid's time of service for the Canadian Expeditionary Force during the war, and then for some years after the war recording Reid's life in Calgary, Alberta.
Fonds is divided into 7 series suggested largely by the enclosing envelopes in which the donation was originally recieved from the estate of Reid's niece. These are:

Material consists of print-based propaganda produced during WWI in Italy. Much of the later dated propaganda in this collection is government or army ("Armata") produced through Italy's "Service P" initiative. Some of the material bears marks of previous ownership by way of the stamped initials, "A.T.".
