Consists of slides presumed to be created by Rippin during his time in South Africa. Slides 10-14 have been developed and are housed in Rippon's Boer War album. Images depict a wide range of South African life - domestic and military, urban and rural, indigenous and non-indigenous.

Consists of photographs attesting to Rippin's experience during WWI, including formal and informal unit photographs for the 3rd Canadian Ambulance, and portraits of Rippin and his associates.

Consists of one album of 34 photographs and 9 loose photographs. Material is a mixture of original and purchased photographs depicting aspects of the Boer War and elements of Rippin's service: including: unit photography, portraits of indigenous and non-indigenous peoples, urban and rural imagery, commercial stereoscopic cards. The album in part corresponds to glass plate negatives in File 1.

Consists of No. 3 Canadian Field Ambulance marked Christmas cards and Christmas and New Year's Eve dinner menus. One card is inscribed "From Daddy" the rest are blank. One item relates to a reunion dinner in Calgary in 1920.

Consists of Rippin's CEF paybook, leaflet titled "Final Order of the Day, by Major General Sir Archibald Cameron MacDonnell", and souvenir silk handkerchief imprinted with flags and portraits titled "Souvenir de la Grande Guerre 1914-1915-1916"

Consists of volumes 1-4, 6-7 of "The Bystander's Fragments from France"; No. 8, 22nd December 1917 from the trench newspaper "N.Y.D."; "Blighty" Christmas 1917; "The 1st Canadian Division in the Battles of 1918."; "Dictionnaire de la Guerre"; "Erinnerungen an den Feldzug im Osten."
