Includes training syllabuses, manuals, status reports, equipment lists, etc. Also contains newspaper clippings from various Canadian publishers highlighting Camp Shilo and the training exercises conducted by the 1st Canadian Parachute Battalion.

This includes documents from the Royal Canadian Air Force, the Royal Air Force, the Department of National Defence, and Canadian Military Headquarters. Also contains documents pertaining to the discipline, organization, and command of the 1st Canadian Paratroopers while overseas.

Box predominately contains photocopies of military documents, memos, and reports specifically pertaining to the Canadian Parachute Battalions in France 1944, post-D-Day. This includes debriefings, status and operation reports, strength inventories, War Office meetings, war diaries, as well as training syllabuses and information/documents pertaining to additional training and coursework undertaken by the Parachute Battalions. In addition, the box contains documents pertaining to the rest of the Canadian Parachute Battalion’s campaign in France, including reports on fighting in the Ardennes, 1944-1945.
