Series consists of records gathered by MacDonald on his uncle Wallace Archibald MacDonald, silent film star and movie producer. Records include research sources prepared in chronological order by MacDonald, and copies of newspaper and magazine clippings, reviews, notices, publicity shots and production stills sent by Wallace. Records also include scrapbooks related to Wallace’s career, and movie posters.
Series consists of a caricature print of Alden Nowlan signed by Isaac Bickerstaff (Don Evans) with a note to MacDonald, buttons collected by MacDonald of conferences, meetings and places he visited, and CDs containing research related to Wallace MacDonald, the MacDonald family history, and electronic records from MacDonald’s career at the University of Calgary.
Series consists of records gathered by MacDonald on his father Vincent Christopher MacDonald, lawyer, law professor, Dean of Law at Dalhousie University, civil servant and judge. Records include correspondence with the Dalhousie University Archives relating to the papers that MacDonald had deposited and a student prize MacDonald had set up in his father’s name, convocation booklet for Vincent and correspondence with his wife Hilda, and photographs.
