Series consists of architectural reports produced at the firm of Thompson, Berwick, Pratt & Partners during the time that Richard Mann worked there as Senior Partner. The reports consist primarily of site planning studies; Mann was an urban designer and town planner. Series also consists of project files for the Fullerton Lumber Company, a client of TBP from 1984-1989 (project # 84-779-1). Mann later continued working with Fullerton through his company abitat consulting; these project files continue in S0003 with abitat project #87.3.1 and 87.3.2.
Consists of twenty-eight journals from 1992 to 2007. The contents of the journals are daily personal journal entries interspersed with sketches that document or accompany the text. Topics are Kemble's daily life, family and relationships, observations about urban design and architecture, finances, artwork, and reflections about his career in architecture.
Consists of Massey Medal for Architecture that Kemble received in 1967, copies of his books The Canadian City and The View from Chapel Street, and a CD-R containing 121 digital copies of photographs from the 1960s to 1990s. The digital photographs consist of 92 views of Kemble’s architectural projects and his studio, plus 29 family photographs.
Consists of eleven sketchbooks created by Roger Kemble between 1964 and 1997. The sketchbooks primarily contain Kemble’s sketches and paintings but also include notes, thoughts, poems, ideas, concepts, and inspirations. The sketches largely relate to Kemble’s architectural practice and urban design but also include portraits, studies, and various other sketches.
Series consists of architectural drawings, notes, correspondence, minutes, specifications, reports, and photographs documenting the work of Carmen and Elin Corneil. The series documents the Corneils’ projects from 1955 to 1992. Most of the projects are located in Ontario but there are also several in Norway, Finland, Denmark, and Iceland. Among the projects documented in the series are the Carleton School of Architecture, Wayland Drew House, Expo 67 Bandshells, Girl Guides of Canada Headquarters, Vestmannaeyjar Plan and Municipal Works Projects, Wintergreen Building, Icelandic Concert House, McMullen Cottage, and OPSEU Headquarters. The projects have been arranged in rough chronological order by the archivist and the series has been divided into three subseries: 1. Drawings; 2. Files; 3. Photographs.
