The fonds consists of an unbound scrapbook created by Murray while in the Canadian Navy during World War II entitled “Snaps and Scraps – My Life in the Navy”. The scrapbook contains her certificate of service, writer’s history sheet, leave documentation, photographs, snapshots, and such memorabilia as theatre programs, train tickets, birthday and Christmas cards, postcards, correspondence and newspaper articles etc.

The contents of the scrapbook are divided into four files:

1. Service Papers
2. Initial recruitment and training material
3. Service in Glasgow Scotland
4. Additional service after decommissioning

Consists of a photo album containing a number of photographs and postcards, a collage of photos entitled “Pals”, several loose photographs and one telegram.

The photographs predominantly depict life on the ship. There are also a number of Prince Rupert postcards.

Consists of 4 letters and 1 field post sent home by Oliver and Russell Sigman during their time in the CEF during WWI.

The collection consists of one three ring binder with 19 double-sided pages in plastic sleeves and 13 single-sided pages taken from a photo album and placed in the three ring binder. At the end of the binder there is a single plastic sleeve with 2 inserts relating to an Belgian individual who died in Buchenwald. The collection also contains a certificate from the offices of Adolf Hitler, received by Gertrud Lessman and accompanied by a large photo.

Fonds consists of publications, a scrapbook, newspaper clippings and documents, and a hand-written journal related to Max Brown's service as a seaman during World War II.

The collection consists of items and photographs pertaining to Mary Teresa Vera (Imhoff) Murray’s time as a nurse in the Royal Canadian Navy and items and photographs pertaining to Sherman Edwin Murray’s career in the Royal Canadian Navy. It is divided into two series:

1. Mary Teresa Vera Imhoff records
2. Sherman Edwin Murray records

Consists of textual and photographic material related to the WWII career of John Edisforth Heward. Of particular note is the connection to his sinking of U889 (TG W6) while he was Captain of HMCS Rockcliffe.

Files include:

1. Clippings: News clippings regarding: visit to Summerside PEI, the sinking of U889, Heward's being mentioned in dispatches
2. Photographs: 48 b+w images of ships at seas some with crews visible ; photographs pf HMCS Rockcliffe including one of Officers on bridge of U889 ; portraits of Heward
3. Heward's accounts: of his mission to St. Malo ; "A Brief History of HMCS Rockcliffe"

Fonds consists of one photo album and associated loose photos. The photographs predominantly relate to Cochran's military career with the RCAF during the year of WWII. Some photographs are captioned, presumably in Cochran's hand.

Fonds consists of material gathered and created by Norma Stowe during her time of service during WWII in the South African Military Nursing Service. Stowe sent letters home from both South Africa and Cairo where she was stationed as a nurse working for the South African Army. These letters are arranged chronologically in the Correspondence series. Photographs, which were likely originally sent as enclosures, are arranged in the Photographs series. Other material, including ephemera, certificates, and military documentation, is arranged in thematic series corresponding to the folders in which the material was received into the archives.

Consists predominantly of research and draft material towards Humphrey Carver's 1945 publication, "Personnel Selection in the Canadian Army: A descriptive study".
