The fonds consists of records documenting the architectural career of Henry Yorke Mann primarily from 1953 to 1970 and 1997 to 2015. There are also records relating to his training as an architect at Washington State College and the University of Oregon from 1949 to 1954. Records include architectural drawings, photographs, notes, correspondence, sketches, journals, reports, contracts, teaching materials, articles, and grant and award submissions. There are over 100 of Mann’s projects documented in the fonds, including 1960s projects Eijgel Residence, Clark Residence, Engineers’ Club, Killarney Community Centre, Mann Residence, and the Laura Lynn Riding and Country Club, as well as projects from the 1990s to 2015 including the Allard Residences at Salt Spring and Chestermere, Posts Standing (Ramus Residence), the Totems, Quietude Residence, and Manndala (Architect’s Residence). There are over 800 projects represented in the fonds, including many of the firm’s residential, commercial, and educational buildings both in Vancouver and more broadly across B.C. and the rest of Canada. Consists of three architectural drawings created by Ross A. Lort for the proposed A.W. Cruise house in Point Grey, Vancouver, British Columbia. The drawings are entitled a ‘sketch plan’ and consist of one elevation and the plans for the first and second floors. An estimate that lists the proposed costs for the project on one sheet is also included.

The fonds consists of records documenting the architectural projects of Bing Thom Architects from 1980 to 2006. The majority of the work documented is in the Greater Vancouver Area, but also included are several projects in Hong Kong, China, Texas, and Saskatoon. Records include architectural drawings, project files, photographs, and presentation panels documenting over eighty of Bing Thom Architects projects. Among the notable projects represented in the fonds are Chan Centre for the Performing Arts, False Creek Yacht Club, Canada Pavilion Expo ’92, Georgia Hotel, BC Place Convention Centre, Pacific Canada Pavilion Vancouver Aquarium, Homer Tower, The Pointe, Dalian New Town Masterplan, and Aberdeen Centre. The architectural drawings in the fonds include extensive documentation of the preliminary design stages with sketches, conceptual drawings, and design development drawings well represented in the files.
