The fonds consists of an unbound scrapbook created by Murray while in the Canadian Navy during World War II entitled “Snaps and Scraps – My Life in the Navy”. The scrapbook contains her certificate of service, writer’s history sheet, leave documentation, photographs, snapshots, and such memorabilia as theatre programs, train tickets, birthday and Christmas cards, postcards, correspondence and newspaper articles etc.

The contents of the scrapbook are divided into four files:

  1. Service Papers
  2. Initial recruitment and training material
  3. Service in Glasgow Scotland
  4. Additional service after decommissioning

Mellor's book Forgotten heroes : the Canadians at Dieppe; and miscellaneous material.

Grant McLean Fonds

Fonds consists of material generated and/or accumulated by Lt. Col. Grant McLean in his capacity as the Commanding Officer for Canadian Civil-Military Cooperation (CIMIC) operations during Canada's peacekeeping mission (Operation Palladium) to Bosnia Herzegovina following the Bosnian War. Specifically, McLean oversaw CIMIC training and deployment for Rotation 12, 2002-2003.

Highlights of the collection include McLean's email correspondence, which provides insight into the administrative relationship between the Reserves and Regular Forces, and village by village intelligence gauging levels of post-war recovery for areas in which CIMIC was active.

The fonds is divided into 5 series:

Fonds consists of records arranged into seven sousfonds. The Central Filing System sousfonds (1961-1995) contains correspondence, organizational charts, budgets, financial planning documents, committee minutes and reports, policy statements, annual reports, job descriptions, school calendars, program proposals, curriculum manuals and outlines, and agreements. The Director, School of Nursing sousfonds (1965-1995) contains proposals, feasibility studies, planning documents, correspondence, minutes, curriculum framework materials, course syllabi, reports, discussion papers, budgets and financial statements. The Supervisor, Adminsitrative Services sousfonds (1985-1995) contains correspondence, recommendations, planning documents, policy statements, minutes, financial statements and reports. The Manager, Program Resources sousfonds (1980, 1982-1984, 1986-1995) contains curriculum evaluation materials, clinical placement reuqests, course outlines, students and faculty orientation manuals, minutes, staffing analyses and job descriptions, and agreements with Foothills Hospital and other institutions. The Curriculm Coordinator sousfonds (1961, 1985-1990, 1992-1995) contains records related to the Calgary Conjoint Nursing Program including committee minutes, terms of reference, faculty meeting minutes, program and committee structure documents, and conceptual framework materials; and renovation project reports, contracts, project outlines and proposal, facilities analyses, correspondence, and architectural plans and sketches. The Manager, Student Affairs sousfonds (1963-1965, 1968-1995) contains annual reports; student and residence policy statements and regulations; graudation correspondence, minutes, programmes, photographs and budgets; Administration/Faculty/Student Liaison Committee correspondence and terms of reference; and awards correspondence, policy statements, terms of reference and recipient lists. The Registrar sousfonds (1975-1976; 1978, 1983-1994) contains registrar manuals which include policy statements and admission reports. Fonds also includes two general School of Nursing series: Course Materials (1971, 1975-1977, 1981, 1984-1985) of curriculum guides, master examinations, instructional photographs, assessment guides, course study guides and outlines, and a student orientation package; and Photographs (1968, 1970-1995) containing photographs of aspects of the Diploma Program and Calgary Conjoint Nursing Program, School events and facilities, graduation ceremonies (1968, 1970-1995), studnet activities and lab practise, and faculty and staff.
