Fonds consists of black and white photographs relevant to the wartime experiences of Jack Griffin during WWII. Subject matter is military training, portraits, and unit photographs. Some photographs are labelled on verso.

Consists of 14 WWI era postcards. Only one contains correspondence. Many of the postcards appear to have been purchased as souvenirs at Eaton's Bookstall in Whitley Camp, UK.

The fonds consists of the letters Norman Stephenson sent home on a weekly basis during his four years of service. Norman’s Field Book, Pay book and a copy of the New Testament presented by the Canadian Bible Society are included. Also included in the collection are a number of photographs of Norman at training camps in Calgary, on the boat going overseas, and in England and France. The remaining files consist of the research material assembled by Stephenson's daughter Norma Lendrum in writing her book about his wartime experiences: Four Years in the Life of a Cavalryman in WWI.

Fonds consists of material related to the experience of James Reid (and to a lesser extent his brother John) while in Canada leading up to WWI, throughout Reid's time of service for the Canadian Expeditionary Force during the war, and then for some years after the war recording Reid's life in Calgary, Alberta.
Fonds is divided into 7 series suggested largely by the enclosing envelopes in which the donation was originally recieved from the estate of Reid's niece. These are:

Consists of photographs, textual records and military medals predominately related the military career and death in combat of James McNamara during WWII.

Consists of 11 colour photographs recording the last trooping at Currie Barracks before its closure in 1997. Photographs have no captions.

Fonds consists of two binders containing, predominantly, newspaper clippings collected by Hofmann that pertain to both the Canadian Women's Army Corps (CWAC) and the Canadian military generally. In many cases Hofmann collected clippings and related ephemera in particular subsets, including: Lakeland College in Vermilion, Alberta; CWAC Lieutenant Mary Dover; CWAC reunions. Fonds also contains some published items collected by Hofmann ca. WWII including manuals, and CWAC newsletters.

The collection consists of personal records, training materials, post-retirement material and a number of naval newsletters and publications related to the military career of John Allen Turner. Predominant date range is 1950-1975

Consists of two items of correspondence and five photographs. Subject matter is John Cody's connection with the American 509th Bomb Group especially during it's connection to the Enola Gay and the bombing of Hiroshima in WWII.

Consists of textual and photographic material related to the WWII career of John Edisforth Heward. Of particular note is the connection to his sinking of U889 (TG W6) while he was Captain of HMCS Rockcliffe.
