Nowlan and acquired from other sources. MsC 59 consists of a sound cassette Remembering Alden Nowlan, taped at a Theatre New Brunswick event paying tribute to A. Nowlan. MsC 106 is a draft of A gift to last, revised by co-author Walter J. Learning in 1989. MsC 119 consists of promotional material for a production of Frankenstein : the man who became god. For description of MsC 61 see entry under Rachel Paulson Pride. Accession 523/92.21 consists of poetry manuscripts; notebooks; reviews and other material relating to publication or productions of A. Nowlan's work after his death in 1983; and twenty-four sound recordings of interviews, radio broadcasts of A. Nowlan's works, tributes paid to the author and other miscellaneous events. Accession 569/95.5 consists of material relating to A. Nowlan including v. 2, no. 4, Summer 1963 issue of Amethyst devoted to him.

Three small appendices of material (MsC 28, 29, 30) relating to H. MacLennan and acquired from other sources include correspondence, speech and published items.

Accession 857/09.1 consists of 1.32 m of textual records donated by Aritha van Herk and Rudy Wiebe which is restricted during their lifetimes.

Fonds consists of several manuscripts, chiefly describing the history and culture of the Stoney (Assiniboin) Indian Tribe in Alberta, as well as providing biographical information and photographs of Tribe members; and manuscript of a talk, Sketch of Indians of Alberta, given to the Friends of the Indians Society, Edmonton, 1955. Manuscripts are inscribed to Otter Woman (Anne Downe).

Fonds consists of records produced and collected by staff and volunteers of the Reform Association of Canada, the Reform Party of Canada, and the United Alternative. The records transferred to the Archives were those held at national office in Calgary only. Further records relating to the Party are held in Ottawa. Fonds consists of correspondence, photographs, research material, preliminary work, manuscripts and galleys of published and unpublished work, book and exhibition reviews, photographs and slides of D.G. Lent's paintings, books and pamphlets. MsC 370 consists of booklet 30 designs from an 1847 sampler, narrated and prepared by D. Geneva Lent (Connecticut River Valley Chapter of the Embroiderers' Guild of America). Filed in Box 9, Acc 736/03.1.

One small appendix (MsC 275) consists of material relating to Lois Kerr's memorial service and burial: a compact disc recording of a special arrangement of L. Kerr's song "Woods are full of violets" sung and recorded by David Kerr; programme of the service, December 16, 2001; texts of "Words of Remembrance" by L. Kerr's three sons; signatures of guests; and letters of condolence.

MsC 226 consists of minutes of the first to eighty-third meetings of the Royal Commission on Bilingualism and Biculturalism (1963 September 4 - 1971 February 27); Research Bulletin, a compilation of research projects and contracts to be carried out to provide background information for the Royal Commission; A preliminary report of the Royal Commission on Bilingualism and Biculturalism; Press reaction to the preliminary report of the Royal Commission on Bilingualism and Biculturalism; and several miscellaneous reports and a letter relating to the Commission. Items distributed to Commissioners, among them Commissioner Gertrude Laing, Calgary, Alberta. MsC 333 consists of 3 recorded interviews of G. Laing by Dr. Marion McKenna, November 1, 1978, April 8, 1997 and April 23, 1997; transcript of April 8, 1997 interview; photocopy of a photograph of G. Laing; and Tribute column by Nancy Millar published in the Calgary Herald, January 12, 2006. Filed with MsC 226 (Box 2).

Fonds consists of correspondence, chiefly with other musicians and composers; manuscript of Words on music; manuscript scores of compositions for viola, organ, chorus, and violin and organ, as well as an octet for woodwinds, strings and piano; and manuscript scores by other composers, including Phantasy for violin with piano accompaniment (Gestetner(?) reproduction of original manuscript) by Arnold Schoenberg and Sonata for solo violin (original manuscript) by Roger Sessions.
