Also contains various research materials including corporate and government documents, secondary source articles, newspaper/journal clippings, as well as photographs and maps of the Canmore/Anthracite area, ca. 1880s.

The fonds solely consists of project records, including drawings, textual files, photographs, panels, and models. The fonds documents over 15 projects, largely in Edmonton where the Patkau office was located from 1978 to 1983. Projects documented in the fonds include Galleria Condominiums, Pyrch Residence, Blue Quill Elementary School, and McGregor Residence. There is one series in the fonds: 1. Project records.

Collection consists of scene and costume design for operas, operettas, stage plays, films, revues and ballets, as well as for many unidentified productions. Many designs are undated. Design media include watercolour, gouache, pencil, charcoal and tempera. Designers represented include Percy Anderson (1851-1928), Georges Barbier (1882-1932), Alexandre Benois (1870-1960), Charles Betout (active ca. 1900-1939), Umberto Brunelleschi (1879-1949), Boris Bilinsky (1900-1948), Serge Soudeikine (1882-1946) and C. Wilhelm (1856-1925). Collection also includes Vanity Fair lithographs of actors and managers (ca. 1874-1912) and a series of engraved dramatic portraits.

Fonds consists of minutes of the University Theatres Advisory Committee; issues of "The Curtain Raiser" (1980).

Collection consists of photographs of geologic formations and topographic features; native peoples; northern communities; logging, mining, fishing and whaling activities; survey field parties; and miscellaneous subjects including some of U.S. Geologic Survey offices and staff. Most photographs were taken in Alaska, but also represented are the Yukon, Virginia, Maryland and Texas. Texas photographs are of oil fields and refineries, ca. 1917. Most photographs are dated and include descriptive captions. Photographs received in albums but removed for conservation purposes.

The fonds consists of recorded radio broadcasts (1936-1940); miscellaneous speeches, lectures, correspondence and greeting cards (1935-1943); appointment as President of Alberta Executive Council (1935); and family photographs. Includes programs of memorial events, and recordings of Aberhart Memorial Service (1943) and opening of Aberhart Memorial Sanatorium (1952).

Fonds consists of material related Douglas and Hilda Doherty's personal lives and careers, theatrical productions and events they were involved in or attended, and an interview by Douglas Doherty regarding theatre history in 1971 which includes television and movie scripts, photographs, play scripts and programs, scrapbooks, and audiovisual material. Doug and Hilda were involved with the Northside Players, Calgary Civic Theatre, Arts & Letters Club, Musical Theatre of Calgary, the University of Calgary Department of Drama, among other theatrical companies.

Fonds consists chiefly of material relating to the Canadian Arctic Expedition, 1913-1918, led by Vilhjalmur Stefansson. Includes correspondence, biological reports and official journals kept by F. Johansen, chiefly on hydrography and entomology, as a member of the Southern Party of the expedition. Also includes correspondence, biological reports and diaries relating to F. Johansen's field research in Hudson and James Bays, June 1920 - October 1920; scientific reports and species lists resulting from other field expeditions by F. Johansen and others, 1897-1926; and transcriptions of articles and personal narratives of scientific explorers, chiefly on hydrography, geology and meteorology, ca.1804 to the early 1900s.
