The fonds consists of Col. S.B. Steele's correspondence, reports and corps diary re Strathcona's Horse (1900-1901 [microfilm]); military orders (1900-1901 [microfilm]); civil defence exercise records (1953); memoirs of members Arthur Turner and E. Stanley Ellison; history of the regiment's organization and South African War service by member Andrew Miller (1912 [photocopy]); and photographs and postcards of the regiment including en route and in South Africa (1900-1901), at Sarcee Army Camp and England (1914, 1916), at Currie Barracks and Sarcee Army Camp (1936, 1940) and Wainwright (1958). Includes official nominal roll (1900); and nominal roll, regimental history, and biography of Lt. Col. Robert Belcher compiled by member Richard Cunniffe. Also includes programs, and service roll of the School of Cavalry, Winnipeg (1893-1914 [photocopy]).
