Collection has been artificially created by combining four bookplate accessions.

Collection consists of scene and costume design for operas, operettas, stage plays, films, revues and ballets, as well as for many unidentified productions. Many designs are undated. Design media include watercolour, gouache, pencil, charcoal and tempera. Designers represented include Percy Anderson (1851-1928), Georges Barbier (1882-1932), Alexandre Benois (1870-1960), Charles Betout (active ca. 1900-1939), Umberto Brunelleschi (1879-1949), Boris Bilinsky (1900-1948), Serge Soudeikine (1882-1946) and C. Wilhelm (1856-1925). Collection also includes Vanity Fair lithographs of actors and managers (ca. 1874-1912) and a series of engraved dramatic portraits.

Collection consists of works by Illingworth Kerr such as manuscripts of Kerr's autobiography "Paint and circumstance" including research material, Christmas cards, and articles and illustrations; works about Kerr as well as by others; exhibition catalogues and brochures relating to Kerr other artists including R.F.M. McInnis, Kathryn Youngs, Louis de Niverville, Jack Shadbolt and Ken Christopher; photographs and slides of Kerr's art and landscapes, animals, etc. used as studies for his paintings, Kerr family photographs, and photographic material of others' art.

Consists of a bound book of original letters and telegrams solicited by the Vancouver Sun on the occasion of the Sun presenting a painting of President Warren G. Harding in Stanley Park, Vancouver on July 26th, 1923. Harding's visit was the first visit of an American President to Canada. The letters and telegrams are expressions of goodwill between the two countries for friendship and peace.

The letters and telegrams received by the Vancouver Sun are from the Prime Minister of Canada (William Lyon Mackenzie King), governors of states, premiers of provinces, American and Canadian newspapers and universities.

Collection primarily consists of research material relating to C.W. Fullerton's 1985 University of Calgary doctoral dissertation George Stewart, Jr.: nineteenth century man of letters including correspondence, works by and about George Stewart, Jr., photographs, and notes. Also includes research materials for papers on Matthew Arnold and other miscellaneous items of academic interest.

George Morley collection

Collection consists of materials that reflect Morley’s life-long passion for comic art and includes an extensive compilation of comic strips from both comic books and newspapers. Morley was also interested in the history of comic art and maintained a series of reference files on artists and comic art subject matters. The collection also consists of ephemera acquired by Morley that celebrates both comic art and popular culture including posters, fabric, and a calendar.
