Material is a mixture of original and purchased photographs depicting aspects of the Boer War and elements of Rippin's service: including: unit photography, portraits of indigenous and non-indigenous peoples, urban and rural imagery, commercial stereoscopic cards. The album in part corresponds to glass plate negatives in File 1.
