Nowlan, this short story is an extended version of an earlier story Humbly, for Fyodor. This version commissioned by Canadian Broadcasting Corporation for radio broadcast on Anthology. Broadcast January 27, 1973. (See CBC contract MsC 40.5.23.6 for details of commission.) Story also published with variant title Walking on the ceiling in the collection Will ye let the mummers in? Nowlan described item as "unpublished short story...which incredible as this may sound was based on an actual incident".
