The typescript is accompanied by a bibliography compiled by Chorny of books for EDCI (Education Curriculum & Instruction). It is unknown how the two are related, or whether Chorny was a member of the Alberta Library Board.

File consists of handwritten drafts and typescript copies of Chorny’s lecture on the University of Calgary’s 25th anniversary in 1991, that was then published in 1994 as the Faculty of Education – Annual Distinguished Lectures. The lecture outlined Chorny’s personal journey as a teacher and reflections on the past and future of education.

Items consist of two wooden bookends with gold plaques that state: 25th Anniversary CCTE – presented to Merron Chorny. CCTE is the Canadian Council of Teachers of English, established in 1968 by Chorny.

File consists of a poster created for the first conference of the Canadian Council of English Teachers, held at the Palliser Hotel in Calgary. Chorny was founder and President of the Council. The poster is painted on light canvas with two figures of a cowboy and society woman. Committee members have signed the poster.
