1980s prints

File consists of two prints: the first is a postcard created from time exposure of the 1.5 m IRT dome rotation and used for a public awareness campaign; the second shows the hoisting of the Baker-Nunn satellite tracking camera into temporary housing on the west side of the ARCT building.

25th anniversary

File consists of press release, program of events, speech by Dr. Milone delivered at the 25th anniversary celebration conference on “The RAO – Its History and Current Capabilities,” abstracts of papers, and an “RAO Report” for the 07 January 1998 Department of Physics and Astronomy meeting.

25th anniversary

File consists of photographs and negatives of the 1997 Open House and accompanying 25th anniversary celebrations. Images include informational and presentation panels set up in the Science B building, people attending lectures including Dr. E. Margaret Burbidge who officially opened the RAO in 1979, and visitors at the RAO viewing the site and the equipment.

25th anniversary – Steven Morris

File consists of photographs and negatives taken by Dr. Steven Morris at the 25th anniversary celebrations. Dr. Morris was a member of the Physics Department in Los Angeles Harbor College and co-author of one of the papers displayed on the presentation panels. A letter from Dr. Morris to Dr. Milone accompanies the images.
