English actor, theatrical historian, director and designer William Bridges-Adams was born in Harrow, England, on March 1, 1889. Died on August 17, 1965. Biographical information available in Who was who in the theatre : 1912-1976, v. 1, p. 281-282.

Accession 235/80.13 is letter, 1964 October 18, to I. K. Fletcher declining to review unidentified book by "Gielgud".
