Biographical history
The Office of Undergraduate Medical Education was formed in the Faculty of Medicine in 1989. It included the Office of the Associate Dean (Education) which previously had been independent. In 2014, the Faculty of Medicine was renamed the Cumming School of Medicine.
The Undergraduate Medical Education Program strives to be an innovative and progressive program, provide an environment that fosters collegiality, facilitate the acquisition of clinical problem solving skills, prepare students to remain competent throughout their career, maintain an active learning environment, and communicate clear performance expectations.

Fonds consists of course outlines and handouts, correspondence, reports, calendars, minutes, policy manual, student records, documents for undergraduate courses offered from 1970-2009, and records from the Curriculum Committee, Building Committee, Audio-Visual Committee, Calgary Ambulatory Care Centre (CACC), University of Calgary Medical Clinic (UCMC), and the Heritage Medical Research Centre (HMRC).
