Biographical history
Helen Carlyle, 1899-1988, was born in Madison, Wisconsin, USA, the daughter of William L. Carlyle, manager of the EP Ranch from 1919 to 1942. Helen received a degree in animal husbandry at Kansas State University and a masters degree in genetics at the University of California Berkeley. She moved to Alberta ca. 1920s, and in 1928 married Charles Yule, 1888-1958, a cattle breeder, importer, and the secretary manager of the Calgary Exhibition and Stampede. They had two sons, David, and William C. "Bill". Helen was active in many community activities and associations.
