Biographical history
The Glenbow Archives has created this artificial collection from orphaned items which are not properly part of the archival fonds in our holdings, but which still have research and exhibition value. The items are predominantly “advertiques”, which are advertisements for businesses, services or organizations which were distributed to the public in the form of give-aways such as blotters, coasters or paper placemats. The collection has been organized in alphabetical order by the name of the business, organization or person named on the item.
