Name of creator
The Food Safety Information Society was an outgrowth of the Alberta Home Economics Society and was created to provide consumers with current, credible food safety information through a toll-free telephone hotline and also to collect and document food safety concerns and information needs of Albertans. The concept was developed in 1995 and the society was incorporated in 1997. It was dissolved in 2008.
